In order to generate some excitement ahead of the next stages of transition we are looking for all our prospective new S1’s to submit entries to our poster competition with the theme of We Belong, We Learn, We Achieve (our school vision). We want P7’s to “get ready for Smithy” and produce either a digital image on their iPad or some art on paper, then photographed. The image/poster should ideally reflect one of our three parts of the vision however anything will be accepted if it is related to Smithycroft, getting ready for Secondary school or leaving Primary School. Submissions should be made by the start of Spring break and winners will be announced when we return, with the winners displayed on the Smithycroft Secondary school website and Twitter. Entries will ideally be forwarded to me from class Teachers with pupil name, class and school.
