To all parents/guardians of pupils applying to University this year or in the future. We received the following information from SAAS….
I am writing to tell you about the upcoming online events which the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) will be offering. These events are to support students who will be starting College or University in 2025/26. There are a range of events which we will be offering over the coming months, and we have provided the details of each below.
Parent and Carers Funding Talks
We will be delivering online funding talks which are designed specifically for the parents & carers of prospective higher education students. These sessions will be running from Tuesday, 15th October until 31st October. These sessions will:
- explain the funding available from SAAS to the parents/carers of those planning to undertake higher education courses (HNC/HND/Degree courses)
- highlight the information we require regarding household income details required from parents and carers
- provide information on the repayment of student loans; and
- provide direct access to a funding awareness advisor who can assist with specific or general queries you may have regarding SAAS
